Privacy Policy

How Accelerate Game Studio collects, uses and protects personal data across our games on iOS, Android and PC, and on this website. This policy applies to every title we publish.

Last updated 29 October 2026

01Who we are

Accelerate Game Studio is an independent developer and publisher of games. This policy covers the games we publish under our own name — Elements of Witches & Wizards, Space Station Underworld, War Storm, and Aliens & Zombies Space Wars — on iOS, Android and PC, together with this website.

For the purposes of the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and equivalent data protection laws, Accelerate Game Studio is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

02Information we collect

We collect only what a game needs in order to run, keep your account secure, and improve the experience. That is:

  • Account details. Your player name, email address, a securely hashed password, and the identifier issued by the platform you sign in with (Google Play Games, Apple Game Center, or a third-party sign-in you choose). If you upload a profile picture, we store it.
  • Gameplay data. Your save files, campaign progress, unlocks, inventory, in-game currency, match history, rankings, clan or alliance membership, and your settings.
  • Purchase information. Which products you bought, the store that processed the purchase, order identifiers and receipts. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
  • Device and technical data. Device model, operating system and version, language, country, app version, IP address, and crash or performance reports.
  • Advertising data. The advertising identifier on your device (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), approximate location derived from your IP address, and records of which ads were shown or tapped — only where you have consented or where the law allows it.
  • Support and moderation data. Messages you send to us, reports you file about other players, in-game chat you post, and the moderation decisions attached to them.
  • Notification tokens. The push token that lets us deliver notifications you have opted into.

We do not ask for your real name, postal address, phone number or payment details, and you should not send them to us.

03How we use your information

  • To provide the games. Creating your account, saving and syncing your progress, running matches, rankings and clan features.
  • To keep accounts secure. Detecting fraud, cheating and unauthorised access, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • To process purchases. Validating receipts and granting the items or entitlements you have bought.
  • To moderate our games. Reviewing reports, chat and player behaviour so that our games stay fair and safe.
  • To show advertising. Serving ads in free versions of our games, measuring whether they were seen, and preventing ad fraud.
  • To improve the games. Understanding which features are used, diagnosing crashes and balancing gameplay using aggregated data.
  • To communicate with you. Responding to support requests, and sending service messages about your account. Marketing messages are only sent with your consent, and every one of them contains an unsubscribe link.
  • To comply with the law. Keeping records we are legally required to keep and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

04Legal bases for processing

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract. Processing needed to give you the game and the account you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests. Keeping games fair and secure, preventing fraud and cheating, and improving our games — balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent. Personalised advertising, optional analytics and marketing messages. You can withdraw consent at any time in the game's settings or your device settings.
  • Legal obligation. Records we must keep for tax, accounting and consumer protection purposes.

05Advertising

Free versions of our games may show advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Where you have given consent — through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or the consent prompt shown on first launch on Android — ads may be personalised using your advertising identifier. Where you have not consented, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

You can limit, reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS, or Settings → Google → Ads on Android. On iOS, personalised advertising requires app tracking permission; if you decline, we do not access the identifier for tracking.

We never use your email address, your player name or your gameplay history to target advertising.

06Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate receipts and manage which entitlements your account holds; RevenueCat stores a purchase identifier and an app user identifier, not your name or payment details.

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's own policy and your statutory rights.

07Children

Our games are not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not serve personalised advertising to accounts we know belong to children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete the account and its data.

Parents and guardians can use the platform-level parental controls on iOS and Android to restrict in-app purchases and advertising tracking.

08Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with providers who help us run the games, and only as far as they need it:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers. Servers, databases and file storage that hold your account and save data.
  • Analytics and crash reporting providers. Services that tell us when the game crashes or a feature is failing.
  • Advertising partners. Google AdMob, for ad delivery and measurement, as described above.
  • Purchase and entitlement providers. Apple, Google and RevenueCat, to process and validate purchases.
  • Moderation and anti-cheat providers. Tools that help us detect cheating and review reports.
  • Professional advisers and authorities. Where we are required by law, or need to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • A successor organisation. If the studio or a game is sold or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction, under this same policy.

09How long we keep it

Account and gameplay data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your save data, profile, rankings, chat messages and friend links are removed.

A small number of records outlive deletion: purchase and tax records the law requires us to keep, moderation evidence with your identity removed, and encrypted backups, which roll over within 30 days.

10Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed passwords, and we limit staff access to personal data to those who need it to do their jobs. No online service can be completely secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

11International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal data leaves those regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

12Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access. A copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction. Correction of data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Deletion. Deletion of your account and the data attached to it.
  • Portability. A machine-readable export of the data you gave us.
  • Restriction and objection. Restricting or objecting to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent at any time, without affecting processing that already happened.
  • Complain. Lodging a complaint with your local supervisory authority — the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or your national authority in the EEA.

We respond to rights requests within 30 days. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we act on a request.

13Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data from inside every one of our games: open the Account icon on the main menu and choose Delete my account. The deletion runs immediately and needs no request form.

If you can no longer sign in, use the deletion page on this site and we will verify the request by email before removing anything.

14Cookies and this website

This website uses only the storage needed to keep the site working and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the website, and we do not build advertising profiles from visitors to it.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our games or the law change. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will tell you in the game or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.

16Contact

Questions about this policy, or about how your data is handled, can be sent to the studio through the communication uplink. If you are in the UK or the EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your supervisory authority.
